Marie writes young adult fiction and poetry.
Kirkus gave her debut novel in verse, The Lost Marble Notebook of Forgotten Girl & Random Boy, a starred review.
Marie grew up in Philadelphia and spent her teen years in Northeastern Pennsylvania . She’s lived in Ireland and Alaska, too.
Marie’s first job was in a mall arcade. Since then, she’s been a server, teacher, cook, record-store clerk, librarian and editor, among other things, but she’s always been a writer.
These days, Marie lives in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania with her daughter, husband, and chocolate Lab, Hank. She’s currently hard at work on her next 4,815,162,342 books. Actually, she’s probably reading, snacking, and making more coffee.
